A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Wolkite University (WKU) and South Omo Theatre Company (SOT) on 19th April, 2022.
The MoU aimed at establishing strong collaboration between the two parties in developing Theatre arts, feature and documentary films and research.
The agreement is believed to create a framework through which both parties can develop a world-class Theatre Production, research and documentary /feature films focused on Ethiopian indigenous studies in order to stimulate collaborative, internationally competitive and cutting-edge research and learning environment. This agreement constitutes an understanding between the two partners as a means to facilitate and develop a genuine and mutually beneficial means of collaboration. Moreover, the agreement will also create further possibilities to network additional institutes in UK.
The agreement was signed by Faris Delil (PhD), President of WKU and Ben Young, Managing Director, SOT.
It is to be recalled that the parties signed the first MoU in 2019.
